Cost of Health Insurance
The National Health Service (NHS) provides free and subsidized treatment for international students, who live in the UK. As an international student, you may be entitled to NHS hospital treatment if you are:
- enrolled on a course lasting for six months or more
- enrolled on a full-time course in Scotland, no matter how long it lasts
If you are planning to stay in the UK for less than six months to study, you may still be eligible for hospital treatment under the NHS, in accordance to certain requirements. You can check with the international student service office at your institution for further assistance.
